THE PERSONAL STUFF
It's been a busy few months for us at HGR Studios. The world is changing and the demand for audiobooks has increased heavily in 2020. With our new isolated lifestyles I think it is comforting to listen to the voices of others; especially for those who are all alone at home, and we are happy to be able to provide a small respite from the lonely monotony of life in quarantine. It's so busy that we we are fully "audiobooked" until December!
When we started our audiobook narration journey, about two and a half years ago, it was a struggle. Although we had performance skills and years experience on stage, screen, and voice overs, audiobook narration is a beast unto itself and presents it's own unique challenges. Through hard work and perseverance we've managed to come a long way. We have taken the classic dual narration formula and developed a unique style that incorporates both male and female voices to create a more immersive performance, which we like to think brings the story to life. I honestly can't believe that we have come to a point that we are only looking at bookings 6 months in advance. We all hope our luck continues into the New Year.
We would love to hear your thoughts on what titles you think we should narrate in the new year. We are always happy to contact your fave authors and see if they might be interested in partnering on a production with us.
